Meet Tracy
I love to teach and hold a minor in Education from the University of Florida and have always felt that knowledge should be freely shared and passed on to others. I feel art is a give and take process and I walk away from every class session having learned something myself which is a wonderful reward in itself. I love to get my hands dirty (and colorful) and to try new techniques.

Destination Art offers several Mixed Media and Collage classes.
With the classes, we explore using different art mediums such as molding paste, acrylic paint, collage papers and elements, mediums, inks, gesso, stencils, paint pens and more.
If you are unfamiliar with the characteristics of these mediums you’ll be taught this in a fun, professional and stress free manner.

This peaceful acrylic painting evokes memories of visiting a European city with a bridge, foliage and village buildings. This colorful image was created using brush work and palette knife. It is 26.25 inches wide X 20 inches in height X 1.75 inches in depth. The white floater frame helps bring out it’s vibrant colors.

This piece contains old book pages, music sheets, comic strips, handwriting from my son, Asian writing and more as collage elements to create the background and house structures. Use of paint pens, chalk, wax pencils, acrylic paint was also used to create this mixed media piece. The beacon in the window for myself represents a light in the window guiding a person home on a rainy night. What does it mean to you?

This piece, whose focal point is the featuring the Eye of Fatima, is believed to provide protection against negative forces and evil encounters, the most common being envious glares from those with ill intentions. It is mixed media with multiple collage elements such as acrylic paint, metallic paint, puzzle pieces, molding paste, decorative papers as well as other hidden mystical signs. Purple was used in this piece as it is the most powerful visible wavelength of electromagnetic energy. It’s just a few steps away from x-rays and gamma rays. This explains why purple is the color most associated with supernatural energy and the cosmos. As a color it symbolizes magic, mystery, spirituality, the sub-conscious, creativity, dignity and royalty.
